We Have An Update On Which Celebs Were In The Room When Ryan Reynolds Allegedly Confronted Justin Baldoni For “Fat-Shaming” Blake Lively

For context, Blake sued her It Ends with Us costar and director, Justin, in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. Justin denied the allegations and countersued with a $400 million lawsuit against Blake, Ryan, and their publicist Leslie Sloane, alleging extortion and defamation, which her legal team denied.

Among several claims, Justin’s suit — which was dismissed by a federal judge last June — alleged that Ryan had accused Justin of “fat-shaming” Blake during a meeting at his penthouse in New York.

The filing claimed that Justin asked his fitness trainer how much Blake weighed while preparing to shoot a scene in which his character would lift hers. He allegedly asked to “ensure he could safely perform the lift without injury,” noting that he suffers from back issues.

The legal documents then claimed that Ryan allegedly berated Justin in a “humiliating” manner while other celebrity guests walked in and out of the penthouse. Ryan did not directly respond to the allegation at the time.

A couple of months ago, a report from People claimed that fellow celebrities Taylor and Hugh — both of whom are close friends with Blake and Ryan — were “present in the apt at the time” of Justin and Ryan’s meeting, according to an unsealed email.

The outlet stated that according to the alleged document, Ryan “unloaded” on Justin about “how horrible it was” that he’d ask about a woman's weight, allegedly accusing him of “fat-shaming Blake.” The document purportedly claimed that Justin was left “completely embarrassed,” and that he “apologized and even shared some tears.”

However, Blake has now denied the claim that Hugh and Taylor were present when Ryan spoke with Justin at the penthouse.

In her deposition, which has been viewed by BuzzFeed, Blake testified that only Ryan was “briefly” present when she and Justin were discussing his alleged “inappropriate” inquiries into her weight.

Stating that Justin was in her office “to work on script revisions,” Blake testified she mentioned the subject after her personal trainer and friend, Don Saladino, told her that Justin had asked him how much she weighed. “I raised his conversation with Saladino about my weight and conveyed that it was upsetting to me and that it felt invasive and inappropriate,” she said before adding that Ryan, who was working in their office at the time “on his own film,” “briefly walked over and joined” their conversation, “but returned back to his own work shortly thereafter.”

Blake later testified that Hugh “stopped by” to pick up Ryan, claiming, “He shook Baldoni's hand at the door, they exchanged niceties, and Jackman left with Reynolds. No one but Baldoni, myself, and Reynolds was anywhere in our office during the discussion about Baldoni's inappropriate inquiries into my weight.”
