"Sinners blew me away. It's a whole-ass experience. I know there's been so much said on how Michael B. Jordan somehow vanishes completely into two different roles, how the scene where Sammy uses his music to fold the barriers between time and space is absolutely sublime, how the cultural and historical information is so painstakingly researched and effortlessly disseminated, and how it's all starting to feel a little over the top. I truly think it warrants it, though. I've had so many friends roll their eyes at me when I gush about how extraordinary this movie is, only to be just as enthralled by it."
