Once again, the internet is appalled by something White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller said.

Two clips from a recent interview with CNN host Jake Tapper are going viral. Here's the first:

TAPPER: Can you rule out that the US is going to take Greenland by force?

STEPHEN MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO.

TAPPER: So you can't take military force off the table?

Jake shows a tweet from Stephen's wife, Katie, who posted a map of Greenland covered with an American flag and the word: "SOON." Jake asks Stephen to rule out the US taking Greenland "by force."

Instead of ruling it out, Stephen gives a nothing burger of a response, bringing up Greenland's population and insisting the Trump administration's "formal position" has long been making Greenland part of the United States. When Jake repeatedly asks him to rule out military force, Stephen gives this response:

Split-screen TV news segment; commentator questions Denmark's control over Greenland. Caption: "Trump suggests U.S. could intervene in Greenland."

The clip ends with this not-at-all-worrying comment:

"Nobody's gonna fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland."

And here's the second thing he said that has people scratching their heads:

Stephen Miller goes on a rant defending Trump's imperialist aggression against Venezuela: "We’re a superpower… we are going to conduct ourselves as a superpower."

When Stephen goes on a rant about the West's "apologizing and groveling and begging" following World War II, Jake says he doesn't even know what Stephen's talking about (LOL), and Stephen seemingly gets upset.

"You love doing that smarmy thing, Jake. And I was hoping you'd be better than that this time."

The clip ends with this:

Two news anchors appear on CNN, discussing Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro's situation with bold quotes displayed

Oh boy, did people have a lot to say about this interview in the comments:

"This little shit is basically assuming nobody would lift a finger to defend Greenland, so they can just simply waltz in and take it like it’s unattended luggage, because in his rotted little worldview anything in the Western Hemisphere is automatically theirs."

Tweet discussing the assumption that Greenland will face no defense, implying a worldview where Western Hemisphere assets are seen as up for grabs
