I still think about Jess and Nick's first kiss to this day.

When we think of romance, Bridgerton, Outlander, Never Have I Ever, Heartstopper, or The Summer I Turned Pretty are probably some of the shows that immediately come to mind. While there is no question that these shows bleed intense, lustful moments, I was pleasantly surprised to find that several sitcoms have just as much heat and tension. In fact, some of the most passionate kisses in TV history come from these classic shows made for comedy.

Here are 16 of the best comedy series kisses that exploded with undeniable chemistry. **SPOILERS AHEAD**

I do want to quickly share a quick disclaimer: some of these kisses happen while one or both participants are already in relationships. This does not mean I condone cheating in any way. I am merely sharing how great the chemistry between the two people was. But seriously, why do some of the best kisses happen in these kinds of scenarios on shows?

1. Haley and Andy's kiss in the Sexy, Sexy House in Modern Family

Haley has her arms and legs around Andy in an embrace while they kiss

ABC

I love the enemies-to-lovers trope, so you have no idea how freakin' excited I was when this happened. This wasn't their first kiss, but it was the one that confirmed how they truly felt about each other. The moment Haley immediately comes back and jumps into Andy's arms, I knew the ship was finally sailing.

2. Jess and Nick's first kiss in the loft in New Girl

FOX

I don't love that Jess was still in a relationship when this happened, but this kiss really was everything, everywhere, all at once. Seriously, wow — this kiss set the bar really high when it came to onscreen kisses. The chemistry between Jess and Nick was palpable, and it all spilled out at this moment. I still swoon over this scene every time I rewatch it.

3. Cece and Schmidt's wedding kiss in New Girl

FOX

Jess and Nick's first kiss may stand out as the best kiss from the series, but I will argue that the kiss between Cece and Schmidt at their wedding is just as memorable. After all the growth these characters went through, it was so satisfying to watch them get their happy ending. I tear up every time I watch this scene, and their kiss — right after Schmidt breaks the "Douche Jar" — with the beautiful song in the background is hands down one of the most heartfelt moments from the show.

4. Rachel and Ross's kiss at Central Perk in Friends

Ross and Rachel kiss in dim lighting, her hands on his face

NBC

This kiss was very iconic and a joy to witness. Ross had been pining for Rachel since they were teenagers, so for him to get his main character moment with the girl of his dreams felt like such a huge win. The rain, the music, everything about this kiss was perfect.

5. Monica and Chandler's "I Love You" kiss in Friends

NBC

Now, a lot of people call Rachel and Ross's Central Perk kiss the most memorable — which is true — but I feel like Monica and Chandler's kiss after they say "I love you" to each other is the definition of true love and affection. The way that they just collapse into each other's arms is so swoony. Anybody would dream of kissing like that after saying those three magic words for the first time.

6. Amy and Jonah's kiss during the tornado in Superstore

NBC

The will-they-or-won't-they vibes were strong between these two. Their first kiss was a pure display of built-up chemistry and longing that was fulfilled in that very moment. Amy finally let her guard down and went after something she really wanted: Jonah. While kissing at a department store during a tornado doesn't seem like the ideal setting, these two proved it's worth considering.

7. Eleanor and Chidi's kiss after the Judge's judgment in The Good Place

Eleanor and Chidi kiss, his hands grasping the sides of her face

NBC

Throughout the series, Chidi struggles to make decisions, so his choice to kiss Eleanor after realizing he DOES love her was a huge milestone for his character. Chidi got over his anxiety and saw his soulmate standing right in front of him. He didn't question it — he just grabbed her face and kissed her. In the words of Eleanor, "Hot diggity dog," indeed.

8. Jim and Pam's first kiss in The Office

Pam and Jim in formal attire share a gentle kiss in dim light

NBC

I actually don't love Jim and Pam as a couple, but I will give them some credit for their first kiss. We all knew Jim was in love with Pam. His confession to her is one of the best-acted scenes I have seen on TV. Jim's undeniable passion for Pam is clearly on full display here. It's just the two of them in the dark at the office, and Jim, knowing what he wants, gives her a kiss of a lifetime.

9. Jake and Amy's kiss in the file room in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Jake and Amy kiss in dim light, arms wrapped around each other

NBC

Jake and Amy's first kiss happens when they're undercover. And while that kiss ignited something between them, the heat was on full blast when they kissed for real in the file room. The way they immediately wrap their arms around each other like a pretzel made my jaw drop to the floor. Such a beautiful, genuine kiss filled with so much raw emotion.

10. Captain Holt and Kevin's reconciliation kiss in the rain in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Captain Holt in his police uniform and Kevin in a trench coat kiss in the rain

NBC

No one would ever believe someone as stoic and reserved as Holt would have a romantic moment. But this kiss proved otherwise. This no-nonsense captain of the 99th precinct threw away all his composure to show Kevin that he still loved him and wanted him back. Their kiss makes Noah and Allie's kiss in the rain in The Notebook look like a peck in comparison.

11. Alexis and Ted's kiss at the speed dating event in Schitt's Creek

CBC Television

I literally screamed when Ted showed up in front of Alexis at the speed dating event. The hopeful look on Alexis's face when she saw Ted, and her little smile, made me giddy with anticipation. Ted's confession of wanting to kiss her every day for the past two years was the epitome of peak rom-com. I will never forgive the show for having them break up in the end.

12. David and Patrick's kiss in front of their new house in Schitt's Creek

Patrick and David kiss passionately, arms around each other, in front of a stone house

CBC Television

David and Patrick are one of my favorite couples on television, so it was extremely hard to pick just one kiss out of so many. But none made me cry as much as David and Patrick's kiss when David decides he wants to stay in Schitt's Creek and live in the house that Patrick bought for them. This kiss solidified the foundation of their beautiful relationship and made it clear that David loved Patrick more than anything in this world.

13. Leslie and Ben's kiss at the mini park in Parks and Recreation

Leslie and Ben kiss under a lamppost and next to a bench in a park

NBC

This kiss between Leslie and Ben was monumental for their relationship. Leslie, who always followed the rules, was willing to risk her career because she loved Ben more. Her telling Ben to "screw it" and risk it all gave Ben the confidence he needed to take the woman he loves in his arms and leave all the local government politics behind. Who knew such a romantic moment would happen in a teeny tiny park?

14. Robin and Barney's proposal kiss at the top of the World Wide News building in How I Met Your Mother

Robin and Barney kiss with a city skyline behind them

CBS

Honestly, Barney making Robin his final page in his playbook was nothing short of dreamy. Barney, the womanizer of the show, was able to commit and abandon his bachelor days for the true love of his life. The anticipation of Robin's answer, the music, and all of Barney's hard work and planning culminated in this incredible kiss, filled with love and passion. The final episode doesn't exist in my brain, so I still believe they are happily married somewhere.

15. Daphne and Niles's first kiss on the balcony in Frasier

Daphne and Niles kiss, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck

NBC

Niles' painfully obvious unrequited love for Daphne was hard to watch, but it ended up being all worth it when they finally got together. Even though Niles shared his feelings first, Daphne made the first move and kissed him like no tomorrow! They represented the complete opposites attract trope so well, and I loved that Niles' appreciation for the finer things in life didn't hinder his affection for Daphne.

16. And finally, Janine and Gregory's first kiss at the teacher's conference in Abbott Elementary

Janine and Gregory kiss, crouched on the ground and surrounded by flowers

ABC

I absolutely love this kiss. The connection between Janine and Gregory is electric, and seeing Gregory affirm his feelings by going in for the kiss made my heart race like wildfire. To top it all off, Janine had to level up the passionate situation by pulling Gregory in for another kiss using his lanyard. The swarm of flowers surrounding them was the cherry on top of an already magical, breathtaking moment.

Ok, I probably need to go cool down after revisiting all of these iconic kisses. Let me know in the comments below your favorite kisses from classic sitcoms that deserve to be on this list!
